Abstract:
Overview of Parental Love Language in Supporting Early Childhood Social
Development. Parents have an obligation to provide good parenting in giving full affection to
children as their first environment to grow and develop through love language. One of the benefits
of parents' love language to children is able to encourage social development which is the capital
for children to adapt to the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to determine
the description of the impact of parental love language that can encourage social development
and the factors that achieve early childhood social development. The method in the study used
descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation.
The research location is in Tambakromo District, Pati Regency with the number of respondents
7 parents who have early childhood. The results of the study reveal the sharing of love language
in 5 forms, namely using words that contain affection and motivation, providing services in
preparing children's daily needs, spending quality time together at home and outside, giving gifts
of toys or favorite foods and giving hugs and kisses to children. The love language given by
parents to children can support children's social development because children will feel loved,
valued so as to bring up self-confidence as an asset in children's social development.
