The Impact of Project Methods on Children's Interpersonal Intelligence.
Interpersonal intelligence is very important for children in terms of working with peers, children's
attitudes are still discriminating between friends, and children are impatient in waiting their turn
and do not reflect a responsible attitude. One stimulus that can be done with the right method is
the project method. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the project method on the
interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at SerojaDua Kindergarten, PercutSei Tuan
District. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. This
research was conducted using one class, namely the Pelangi class. Determination of class
samples was carried out by purposive sampling, namely the technique of taking samples of data
sources with certain considerations. The data collection instrument uses an observation guide.
Data analysis used normality test and hypothesis test (t-test). Based on the results of data analysis,
the average score was 10.7 in the pretest and 16.3 in the posttest. Based on these results the
hypothesis by using the t-test at the real level α = 0.05 obtained Tcount>Ttable (4.084> 2.131),
it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the project method on interpersonal
intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten SerojaDua District PercutSei Tuan. So it
is suggested that teachers should use the project method as a learning method in developing the
interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years.
