Pedagogical competence is an essential aspect that teachers must possess to plan, implement, and evaluate an effective learning process that aligns with the characteristics of young children. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and collects data through observation and interviews with one of the teachers. The results of this study show that the pedagogical competence of teachers at TKQ Matlalul Khoir is significantly good. They have implemented various teaching methods, such as learning through play, storytelling, singing, and project-based learning. However, there are some challenges that need to be addressed, such as limited learning aids and the diversity of children's characteristics in one class. To improve competence, continuous learning evaluations are held, as well as participation in seminars and training related to early childhood education. Thus, the application of good pedagogical competence is expected to support the optimal development of young children at TKQ Matlalul Khoir.
Naila Lutfiyatul Rika Purnamasari Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Pedagogical Content Knowledge 2025-03-31 2025-03-31 1 1 IMPLEMENTASI METODE BERCERITA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BAHASA ANAK USIA DINI DI KB. AL-FATH 1 https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/JPCK/article/view/470
, The purpose of this study is to explore how storytelling can support the development of language skills in early childhood at KB Al-Fath 1. This theme was chosen because language skills are essential for cognitive, socio-emotional development, and children's readiness for formal education. A descriptive qualitative method was used for data collection in this study; observations and interviews were conducted during storytelling activities, and interviews explored the teachers' approaches to implementing this method. The study's results indicate that regularly and interactively using storytelling methods with media such as storybooks, finger puppets, and illustrated images can enrich children's vocabulary, improve their speaking skills, and boost their confidence. Additionally, this method helps children better understand basic language concepts. Despite challenges such as shy or less enthusiastic children, teachers successfully addressed them with emotional support and creative approaches. The study concludes that the storytelling method is effective not only in enhancing language skills but also in supporting the socio-emotional development of early childhood. These findings are significant as they demonstrate that storytelling can be a relevant strategy aligned with national educational standards for early childhood education
Lulu Aulia Fadhillah Rika Purnamasari Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Pedagogical Content Knowledge 2025-04-22 2025-04-22 1 1 PENGARUH PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (RME) BERBANTUAN PAPAN PLSV TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/JPCK/article/view/537
Mathematical literacy ability is one of the abilities that students must have. Mathematical literacy ability includes the ability to understand, use, and apply mathematical concepts and procedures in various situations, both in academic contexts and in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach Assisted by the PLSV Board on mathematical literacy ability. This research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Tangerang City in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a randomized posttest only control design involving 30 students in the experimental group and 32 students in the control group. Data collection on mathematical literacy ability used a test instrument in the form of seven descriptive questions that had been tested for validity, reliability, discriminatory power and level of difficulty first. The indicators of mathematical literacy ability studied were formulate, employ and interpret. The results of the study showed that the mathematical literacy skills of students in the experimental class whose learning used the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach Assisted by the PLSV Board were higher than those in the control class whose learning used the scientific approach.
lia kurniawati Amelia Nur Oktaviani Otong Suhyanto Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Pedagogical Content Knowledge 2025-04-22 2025-04-22 1 1 KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIAKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA TIPE PISA KONTEKS BIANGLALA https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/JPCK/article/view/473
This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills in solving PISA-type mathematics problems in the context of the Ferris wheel at SMP IT Izzuddin Palembang. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach and was carried out face-to-face, with the subjects of the study being 22 students of class VIII. 2 Halimah SMP IT Izzuddin Palembang. Data collection techniques used written tests and interviews. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that have been carried out, students' critical thinking skills are in the low category with an average score of 40.54. Based on the percentage of achievement of critical thinking ability indicators, there are several indicators that often appear, namely the analysis indicator 68% and the indicator that appears the least is the inference indicator 4%.
Pratiwi Lidia Zulkardi Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Pedagogical Content Knowledge 2025-04-22 2025-04-22 1 1 THE USE OF SOCIOMATHEMATICS-BASED DIGITAL MEDIA ON STUDENTS' CREATIVITY AT MI MUHAMMADIYAH PANCASILA https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/JPCK/article/view/415
The problem in this study is the low creativity of grade IV students because educators have not used and implemented attractive digital teaching materials. This study aims to determine the use of sociomathematics-based digital media on the creativity of grade IV students of MI Muhammadiyah Pancasila. The research method used in this study used a quasi experiment method with a research design, namely a non-equivalent control group design. Determination of the research sample using probability sampling technique. Data analysis techniques using normality test and homogeneity test. Data collection techniques using tests, interviews, observation sheets and documentation. Hypothesis testing uses the N-Gain test and shows positive results so that it can be concluded that the use of sociomathematics-based digital media can increase the creativity of grade IV students of MI Muhammadiyah Pancasila.
Dayu Rika Perdana Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Pedagogical Content Knowledge 2025-04-22 2025-04-22 1 1
