The concrete media used were teaching aids in the form of number rulers and number cards on the topic of integers. The number line and number cards were chosen as an alternative to overcome the problem, because they can help students understand the addition and subtraction of integers. In addition, they can also concretize the addition and subtraction of integers, which are abstract concepts. This research method was implemented through several stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation, and evaluation of the activity. The results of this community service activity were an increase in students' understanding at SDN Nispukan from a score of 22 before the activity to 77.8 after the activity. While at SDK, Kiupukan went from a score of 22 to 60.4. This Community Service activity needs to be carried out further on other abstract mathematics topics, but still using teaching aids.
Yosepha Patricia Wua Ladja Maria Naimnule Hendrika Bete Meiva Marthaulina Lestari Siahaan Copyright (c) 2026 Yosepha Patricia Wua Ladja, Maria Naimnule, Hendrika Bete, Meiva Marthaulina Lestari Siahaan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-09 2026-05-09 5 2 20 29 10.23960/jpm-ip.vol.5i.2.1721 Penguatan Komunikasi Bahasa Inggris Siswa Mathayom 1 Melalui Internship di Thailand https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/jpmip/article/view/1794
This community service program aimed to improve the basic English communication skills of Mathayom 1 students at Anuban Chomchon Phukradueng School, Loei Province, Thailand, through an international internship program that provides cross-cultural learning experiences. The program involved 20 students and was conducted over three months with a total of 12 meetings. The methods included needs analysis, lesson planning based on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), dialogue practice using drilling and repetition techniques, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test in the form of simple conversations, supported by classroom participation observation. The results showed improvements in pronunciation, fluency, accuracy, and confidence, as well as a significant increase in student participation from 30% at the beginning to 85% at the end of the program. Students demonstrated greater confidence in speaking, the ability to sustain simple conversations, and reduced anxiety when performing in front of the class. These findings indicate that a communicative approach combined with repetitive practice in a cross-cultural learning context is effective in supporting the development of speaking skills among beginner-level EFL students. Practically, this program can serve as an alternative teaching strategy for teachers to enhance student participation and confidence by integrating communicative activities with drilling techniques in English language learning.
Muhammad Abdul Fikri Washlurachim Safitri Ratchanee Thiprak Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Abdul Fikri, Washlurachim Safitri, Ratchanee Thiprak https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-09 2026-05-09 5 2 30 44 10.23960/jpm-ip.vol.5i.2.1794 Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Video Pembelajaran Interaktif Sebagai Salah Satu Sumber Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Guru-Guru SMP di Kecamatan Gunung Sugih Kabupaten Lampung Tengah https://jurnal.pbs.fkip.unila.ac.id/index.php/jpmip/article/view/1771
The purpose of this community service activity is to provide teachers with knowledge and insight regarding interactive learning videos as a learning resource.
