The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model on the ability to analyze the linguistic elements of news at Tomosa 1 Private Christian Junior High School. Thesis. Advisor: Riana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research procedures were as follows: 1) Conducting a pretest (initial test), 2) Implementing the treatment or intervention, and 3) Conducting a posttest (final test). The variables in this study were 1) the Think Talk Write learning model as the independent variable, and 2) students' learning outcomes on news language elements as the dependent variable. The population in this study was grade VII, which was divided into two classes, namely class VII-A with 20 students and class VII-B with 20 students, so that the total population was 40 students, and sampling was carried out using the saturated sampling technique. Based on all the tests conducted, it can be concluded that the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model has an effect on the ability of seventh-grade students to analyze the linguistic elements of news. It can be seen that in the hypothesis test results, the t-value obtained was (2-tailed) <0.001 <0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. However, if the t-value is greater than the critical t-value (11.228 > 2.024), then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, leading to the conclusion that “There is an influence of the think talk write (TTW) learning model on the ability to analyze the linguistic elements of news in grade VII of Tomosa 1 Private Christian Junior High School.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) Terhadap Kemampuan Menelaah Unsur-unsur Kebahasaan Berita Di SMP Swasta Kristen Tomosa 1. Skripsi. Pembimbing Riana, S.Pd.,M.Pd. Penelitian ini menggunakan Kuasi (Semu) dengan desain Non-equivalent control group design. Prosedur pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu : 1) Melaksanakan Pretest (tes awal), 2) Melaksanakan perlakuan atau tindakan, dan 3) Melaksanakan Postest (tes akhir). Variabel dalam penelitian ini ialah 1) Model Pembelajaran Think Talk Write sebagai variabel bebas (independent), dan 2) Hasil belajar siswa pada materi unsur-unsur kebahasaan berita sebagai variabel terikat (dependent). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII yang terbagi dalam dua kelas, yakni kelas VII-A yang berjumlah 20 siswa dan kelas VII-B yang berjumlah 20 siswa sehingga total populasi adalah 40 siswa, dan pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan seluruh pengujian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuanh menelaah unsur-unsur kebahasaan berita siswa kelas VII. Dapat diketahui bahwa pada hasil uji hipotesis yang memperoleh hasil thitung dengan hasil (2-tailed) <0,001 <0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Namun, jika dilihat nilai atau thitung > ttabel atau 11,228 > 2,024, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “ Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran think talk write (TTW) terhadap kemampuan menelaah unsur-unsur kebahasaan berita di kelas VII SMP Swasta Kristen Tomosa 1”.
