Abstract: The role of the teacher in developing the creativity of children aged 5-6 years.
Developing creativity in children must start early, because at this age it is very easy for children
to be able to absorb what they have seen and done. The petrified role of the teacher in developing
children's creativity is useful for children so that children can express themselves and can also
develop various kinds of potential qualities that exist in them. This study aims to find out the role
of the teacher in developing the creativity of children aged 5-6 years in the AL-Kautsar Integrated
Kindergarten, Serang Banten. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method which
was carried out in the AL-Kautsar Integrated Kindergarten. This data collection procedure was
carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis
was carried out using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. This can be seen in the
teacher's role in guiding children, facilitating children, inspiring children, motivating children,
and acting as a good mediator for children.
