DINAMIKA KEPRIBADIAN TOKOH BAGAS DALAM FILM SEKAWAN LIMO KAJIAN PSIKOANALISIS SIGMUND FREUD

Abstract:

This study aims to analyze the personality dynamics of the character Bagas in the film Sekawan Limo using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic approach, which includes the concepts of id, ego, and superego. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data obtained from dialogues, actions, and scenes involving the character Bagas. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Bagas’s personality is formed through the dynamic interaction of id, ego, and superego. The id appears through spontaneous emotional responses such as enthusiasm, fear, and sadness; the ego functions as a rational mediator in decision-making; and the superego is reflected in moral awareness, including apologizing, expressing gratitude, and considering group interests. This study concludes that the interaction of these three personality structures plays a crucial role in shaping the character’s behavior and psychological responses in film narratives, confirming the relevance of Freud’s psychoanalytic theory in analyzing character dynamics in cinematic works.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika kepribadian tokoh Bagas dalam film Sekawan Limo dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud yang mencakup konsep id, ego, dan superego. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data berupa dialog, tindakan, serta adegan yang menampilkan tokoh Bagas dalam film. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak dan catat dengan menonton film secara berulang, kemudian mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan data yang menunjukkan unsur id, ego, dan superego. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian tokoh Bagas terbentuk melalui interaksi antara struktur id, ego, dan superego. Unsur id tampak melalui reaksi emosional spontan seperti antusiasme terhadap rencana pendakian, rasa takut ketika menghadapi peristiwa mistis, serta kesedihan akibat pengalaman masa lalu. Ego berperan sebagai mediator rasional ketika Bagas mengambil keputusan selama perjalanan pendakian. Sementara itu, superego terlihat melalui kesadaran moral seperti meminta maaf, menunjukkan rasa syukur, serta mempertimbangkan kepentingan kelompok. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan psikoanalisis Freud relevan digunakan untuk menganalisis dinamika psikologis tokoh dalam karya film.
