Penerapan Metode Penerjemahan Komunikatif Pada Teks Eksplanasi “Some Mice May Owe Their Monogamy to a Newly Evolved Type of Cell”

This research examines the efficacy of the communicative translation method in preserving the meaning and scientific nuances of explanatory scientific texts. Taking the case study of the article "Some Mice May Owe Their Monogamy to a Newly Evolved Type of Cell" from Nature journal, this study employs a qualitative approach grounded in translation theory and explanatory text concepts. In-depth analysis of techniques such as modulation, compensation, and amplification reveals that this method successfully balances the accuracy of scientific terms with target text readability. This innovative finding affirms the crucial role of translation method selection in bridging the complexity of scientific language with the cognitive needs of general readers, pioneering new paths to enhance the dissemination and understanding of cutting-edge scientific developments in society.
Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas metode penerjemahan komunikatif dalam mempertahankan makna dan nuansa keilmiahan teks eksplanasi ilmiah. Mengambil studi kasus artikel "Some Mice May Owe Their Monogamy to a Newly Evolved Type of Cell" dari jurnal Nature, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis teori penerjemahan dan konsep teks eksplanasi. Analisis mendalam terhadap penggunaan teknik-teknik seperti modulasi, kompensasi, dan amplifikasi mengungkapkan bahwa metode ini berhasil menyeimbangkan keakuratan istilah ilmiah dengan keterbacaan teks sasaran.
