PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENELAAH TEKS EKSPLANASI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STUDENT FACILITATOR AND EXPLAINING DI SMP
Abstract:
The aim of this research is to improve the ability to study explanatory texts using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model in junior high schools. The research subjects were 20 class VIII students at Karya Botombawo Private Middle School, 8 boys and 12 girls. Based on the research results, it turns out that there has been an increase in students' ability to study explanatory texts using the Student Facilitator and Explaining model. In cycle I, the results of the researcher's observations at the first meeting were 73.33% and at the second meeting were 80%. The average result of observing student activity at the first meeting was 72.50% and at the second meeting was 76.79%. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that: 1) Using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model can improve students' abilities in studying explanatory texts, 2) Using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menelaah teks eksplanasi menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining di SMP. Subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Karya Botombawo yang berjumlah 20 orang, laki-laki 8 orang dan perempuan 12 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ternyata ada peningkatan kemampuan siswa menelaah teks eksplanasi menggunakan model Student Facilitator and Explaining. Pada siklus I hasil observasi peneliti pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 73,33% dan pada pertemuan kedua sebesar 80%. Hasil rata-rata observasi keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 72,50% dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 76,79%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menelaah teks eksplanasi, 2) Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
