Peer Review Process
JIIP upholds rigorous peer-review standards to ensure the quality and integrity of published research. After an initial evaluation by the editor to determine the manuscript’s suitability, submissions undergo a single-blind peer review process conducted by independent and anonymous experts in the relevant field. JIIP Peer Review Process:
Step 1: Editorial Evaluation
The peer-review process begins when an article is submitted. At this stage, the editor assesses whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to its submission guidelines. Key considerations include:
- Compliance with the journal’s formatting and content requirements
- Relevance of the article to the journal’s focus
- Potential interest and value to the journal’s readership
If the manuscript does not meet these criteria, it may be rejected without further review.
Step 2: Initial Peer Review
If the submission passes the editorial screening, the editor assigns it to qualified reviewers with expertise in the subject area. These reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide recommendations regarding its suitability for publication.
Step 3: Revision and Resubmission
Authors may revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback and resubmit the revised version. The editor will assess whether the revisions adequately address the concerns raised. Additional revisions may be requested, or the manuscript may be rejected if it fails to meet the required standards.
