Abstract:

This study aims to develop an interactive video learning resource based on Canva and YouTube for the “Se Présenter” module in A1-level French reading comprehension. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the PPE (Planning, Product, Evaluation) development model (Richey & James, 2007). The planning stage involved analyzing the needs of beginner students regarding self-introduction material. The Product stage resulted in an interactive video designed based on the principles of multimedia learning. The evaluation stage was conducted through validation by subject matter experts and media experts to determine the suitability of the learning media. The results of the study indicate that the media developed in this research is suitable for use, engaging, easy to understand, and helpful in understanding vocabulary and simple sentence structures. Thus, this media can be used as an innovative alternative for teaching basic-level French reading comprehension.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa video interaktif berbasis Canva dan YouTube untuk materi “Se Présenter” pada keterampilan membaca pemahaman bahasa Prancis tingkat A1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan PPE (Planning, Product, Evaluation) (Richey & James, 2007). Tahap planning meliputi analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa pemula terhadap materi perkenalan diri. Tahap Produk menghasilkan video interaktif yang disusun berdasarkan prinsip multimedia learning. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan melalui validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan pada penelitian dinyatakan layak digunakan, menarik, mudah dipahami, dan membantu dalam pemahaman kosakata serta struktur kalimat sederhana. Dengan demikian, media ini dapat digunakan sebagai media alternatif inovatif untuk pembelajaran pemahaman bahasa Prancis tingkat dasar.
