Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Advances in Physics Education are required to comply with the following guidelines:

1. Language and Format

  1. Manuscripts must be written clearly and correctly.
  2. Manuscripts must follow the official Journal of Advances in Physics Education template, which can be downloaded via OJS.

  

3. Manuscript Length & 4. References

Length: The manuscript should be between 4,000–7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

References: Authors must use recent references, especially from reputable scientific journals. The minimum number of references is 15.

2. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections:

  • Title: Concise, descriptive, and no longer than 15 words.
  • Abstract: Describe the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions in 150–250 words.
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.
  • Introduction: Present the study’s background, problem, and objectives.
  • Research Methods: Explain the approach and procedures used.
  • Results and Discussion: Present findings clearly and discuss them based on theory.
  • Conclusion: Summarise the research findings and scientific contributions.
  • References: Use the latest edition of APA style.

5. Submission Process

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted through the online journal management system (Online Journal System).
  2. Authors must upload the manuscript file to Microsoft Word using the template.
  3. All submissions will be checked for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software.


  

6. Peer Review Process

  1. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a single-blind review process.
  2. Authors are then asked to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ suggestions.

7. Ethical Policy

Authors must ensure that the manuscript is an original work that has not been published or is currently under review in another journal.

8. Publication Fees

The Journal of Advances in Physics Education is committed to maintaining an Open Access publishing model, ensuring that all peer-reviewed research articles are freely and permanently accessible to the global academic community. To sustain this mission and cover the operational expenses associated with manuscript processing, editorial management, production, and digital dissemination, the journal applies the following publication fee structure:

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Following the acceptance of a manuscript for publication, the corresponding author or their sponsoring institution/funding agency will be required to settle an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee is essential to support the comprehensive services we provide throughout the publication lifecycle.

The APC rates are as follows:

Indonesian Authors: IDR 400,000
International Authors: USD 30.00

This charge directly contributes to the following services:

  • Assignment and registration of a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each published article.
  • Rigorous similarity screening and plagiarism prevention using the Turnitin software.
  • Professional copyediting, typesetting, layout design, and final production of the article.
  • Ongoing maintenance of the journal’s online server, long-term digital archiving, and data preservation.
