Conflict of Interest

Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Lampung requires all parties involved in the publication process (authors, reviewers, and editors) to disclose any conflict of interest that could influence, or be perceived to influence, their work. This policy follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

A conflict of interest exists when financial, personal, academic, or institutional relationships could inappropriately affect a person’s judgment or actions, for example funding from a party with an interest in the results, employment or consultancy, close personal or family relationships, academic competition, or institutional affiliation.

Authors
Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest and sources of funding in the manuscript, in a Conflict of Interest statement placed before the References. If there is no conflict, authors should state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Reviewers
Reviewers must decline to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest with the author(s) or the research, including working at the same institution, recent collaboration, a close personal relationship, or a direct competing interest. Reviewers who become aware of a conflict during the review must inform the editor immediately.

Editors
Editors must not be involved in decisions on manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, or authors from the same study program are handled by another editor who has no conflict of interest, and undergo the same double-blind peer review process as other manuscripts. Editors involved as authors have no access to the review process of their own manuscripts.

Undisclosed conflicts
If an undisclosed conflict of interest is identified after submission or publication, the journal will handle the matter in accordance with its Allegations of Research Misconduct policy and COPE guidelines, which may result in correction or retraction of the article.
