Review Process Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Lampung undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both the author(s) and the reviewers are concealed from each other.

Review stages

  1. Initial screening. The editor checks the manuscript for its fit with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the Author Guidelines and template, and similarity level in accordance with the Plagiarism Policy. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are returned to the author(s) or rejected without review.
  2. Peer review. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field, at least one of whom is from an institution other than Universitas Lampung.
  3. Reviewer evaluation. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality and novelty, relevance to mathematics education, soundness of the research method, clarity and validity of results and discussion, appropriateness of conclusions, and the quality and currency of references.
  4. Recommendation. Each reviewer recommends one of the following: Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, or Decline Submission.
  5. Revision. The author(s) revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and submit a response explaining how each comment was addressed, within [4 weeks].
  6. Editorial decision. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revision. When reviewers’ recommendations differ substantially, the editor may invite an additional reviewer.
  7. Copyediting and production. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout, and proofreading by the author(s) before publication.

Review time
The peer review process normally takes [4–8 weeks] from submission to the first decision. The entire process from submission to publication normally takes [2–4 months], depending on the extent of revision required.

Confidentiality and integrity
Reviewers are required to treat manuscripts as confidential documents and to declare any conflict of interest. The review process is managed entirely through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS), and all review records are kept in the system.
